Tom leads a hugely busy life combining his work as an NHS physio at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead with training to realise his dream of representing Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Although, recently, he’s had to sacrifice work to train full in an effort to become the fastest under 23 sculler in the world.
Tom rows for Leander Club. The club, founded in 1818, is an amazing, world class facility based on the Thames at Henley. The club supports athletes with the very latest equipment from boats, to gym, nutrition and healthcare. Since 2000 athletes from the club have won 40 Olympic medals, 225 World Championship medals and 56 under 23 medals.
The club website describe Tom as an ‘accomplished’ international oarsman, having represented Great Britain at the u23 World Championships and Junior World Championships. He represented England at the Commonwealth Regatta in Glasgow, 2014, winning bronze in the double skull. His latest achievement is Gold in x2 scull at the Senior British Championships, Nottingham.
